What is Guyliner?
It’s make-up that boys put on their eyes to look like Brandon Flowers. I don’t wear it.
It’s also the name I give to myself when I’m dating. I line up the guys, then I date them. I know it’s a bit tenuous, but I just liked the sound of it.
Here’s the drill:
- I join an internet dating site
- I talk to men online and arrange dates with them
- I go on the dates
- I blog about them
That’s it, really.
Note: I’m not dating these men just so I can fill my blog. I actually do want to meet guys and am, I suppose, in my own strange way looking for ‘the one’, or at least ‘the next one’.
I don’t blog all the dates, because some of them are quite boring. I don’t blog in chronological order, either, so all events are written from memory and notes I made at the end of the night. I’m an unreliable narrator, yes, but all the best dramas have one and I’m all you’ve got.
And there’s more
I’ve somehow found myself on Huffington Post UK, too, writing about stuff other than dates. Read me there.
And as if that weren’t enough, I also have a monthly column in the homosexual bible that is Gay Times magazine. Please prove to the world that print isn’t dead and buy it. Take a look at the GT website for details of when the next issue is out.
